To purchase a property in Cyprus, Banks require a 20% deposit as do many international banks funding a mortgage for a second home.

If the seller is willing to accept the first 20% of the property value over 24 months (36 months for properties over €250 000) the buyer can secure a mortgage for the remaining 80%
